Booking & Payments
How do I book a room?
You can book directly through our website, by calling me on 07710 479909, or by emailing thebarrington1@outlook.com . Booking directly always guarantees the best rate.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and bank transfers for deposits. The balance is payable on arrival by card or cash.
Do you require a deposit?
50% deposit is taken on the day of booking, balance due on day of arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations more than 7 days before arrival receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 7 days of arrival forfeit the deposit. No-shows are charged for the first night.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer discounted rates for stays of 3+ nights and for returning guests. Contractors staying for extended periods should contact me directly for special rates.
Rooms & Amenities
Do all rooms have en-suite bathrooms?
Most rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Room 2 has a private external bathroom (just across the landing), and Room 10 (our attic room) has an en-suite toilet with a private external shower. Bathrobes are provided for rooms with external facilities.
What amenities are provided in the rooms?
All rooms include:
32" Smart TVs
Free high-speed Wi-Fi
Tea and coffee making facilities
Mini-fridge
Fresh towels and toiletries
Hairdryer
Quality bed linens
Do you provide breakfast?
We operate on a room-only basis, giving you the flexibility to enjoy breakfast at your leisure. I can recommend several excellent breakfast options nearby.
Is there Wi-Fi?

Do the rooms have air conditioning?
No, but all rooms have windows that open. Our thick-walled Georgian building naturally stays cool in summer.
Are toiletries provided?
Yes, we provide complimentary toiletries including shower gel, shampoo, and hand soap.
Do you have family rooms?
Room 1 is the largest family room which accommodates up to 5 people, and walls are fully panelled.
Arrival & Departure
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Standard check-in is from 2pm to 7pm, and check-out is by 10:30am. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible by arrangement - just ask!
What happens if I'm arriving late?
If you expect to arrive after 8pm, please let me know in advance so I can arrange a late check-in for you.
Can I leave my luggage if I arrive early or want to explore after check-out?
Yes, we're happy to store your luggage free of charge if you arrive before check-in time or wish to explore Scarborough after checking out.
How do I get keys for the property?
I'll personally welcome you on arrival and provide you with keys to the main entrance and your room.
