Parking Information
Scarborough, like many historic seaside towns, has limited parking in the Old Town area. As my guest, I can provide parking permits for nearby zones at a small additional cost. These allow you to park in designated areas close to The Barrington.

If you're bringing a car, please let me know when booking so I can arrange a permit for you and provide specific directions to the nearest parking areas.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is The Barrington suitable for people with mobility issues?
As a historic Georgian building, we do have stairs to all rooms and no lift. If you have specific mobility requirements, please contact me directly to discuss whether we can accommodate your needs.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Standard check-in is from 3pm to 8pm, and check-out is by 10:00am. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible by arrangement - just ask!
Do you offer breakfast?
We operate on a room-only basis, but I can recommend several excellent breakfast options nearby, including the Lookout on the Pier where our guests receive a special rate.
Do you accept pets?
I'm sorry, but we don't accept pets (except assistance dogs).
Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the guest house.
